We have some practical tips to ensure you don't have any worries or concerns during the race weekend and can focus on what's happening on the track.
The Singapore Grand Prix circuit offers a wide variety of food and beverages to satisfy the appetites of spectators. These include local Singaporean delicacies such as Hainanese chicken rice, satay, laksa and chilli crab, as well as international cuisines such as Italian pasta, Japanese sushi and American burgers. Various food stalls and vendors are strategically placed around the circuit to ensure easy access for spectators.
Payment can be made in cash and, in most places, by credit card.
Before you head out to the circuit, make sure you have all the information you need saved on your phone; from tickets to maps and information about your favourite driver. There is a risk that the mobile networks may be overloaded at the circuit and you may not have a data connection, especially on Sundays.
So, you may not be able to call your friends. If you want to meet anyone on Sunday, always arrange a time and place to meet beforehand. just like in the old days when there were no mobile phones.
Don't forget that motorsport is very noisy. While the noise is tolerable in the normal stands, make sure you wear earplugs if you're closer to the track. If you're travelling with children, make sure they have ear protectors.
Keep in mind that the weather in Singapore can be unpredictable. Be prepared for warmth but also the possibility of rain. Adjust your clothing accordingly. In addition to sun glasses and a hat, we recommend you bring a raincoat. Be aware that umbrellas are not allowed to be used except in the case of a heavy downpour. If you want up-to-date weather information, we recommend using the Windy app.
